As part of a panel including commentators from AM Best, Aviva, and CyberCube, Nelson discussed the current cyber insurance environment and what the latest flurry of ransomware attacks means for UK brokers.
The group discussed the threat that ransomware presents to the UK insurance industry, as well as what tools and strategies the UK insurance market are utilising to mitigate and protect itself against cyber risk.
"Cyber claims are evolving every week, so you need that specialist approach coming from experts that deal with these incidents and variants everyday," explains Nelson. "Paired with underwriters who can see this evolving landscape from the broker perspective, you've then got two teams working together who can really provide a proactive and reactive solution for policyholders as well as their brokers."
