About the placement
Cyber security
You will join CFC Response, our award-winning cyber security and incident response team, who are experts in their field and tackle cyber threats day in, day out. With more than two decades of experience, our global team of cyber security engineers, incident responders and forensic specialists successfully prevent and remediate thousands of cyber events for our customers each year. You’ll work on two rotations across their four different specialist teams focusing on the investigation, remediation or prevention of cyber-attacks.
Technology
You will join our software development team, the engine room of our business, providing bespoke systems that give us our competitive advantage in a dynamic and fast-paced marketplace. You will work across all of our current technology platforms including our bespoke back-office system, online insurance trading platform, and a new dynamic document management system as well as driving innovation on new cutting-edge projects and initiatives.
By working on rotations across specialist teams, you will learn how the different areas of a tech department work together to create high-performance delivery of cutting-edge technology.
What to expect
You'll work in our London office and be fully integrated into life as a full time CFCer. You will gain exposure to different specialist teams within Cyber Security and Technology, working on rotations across the department.
Along the way you'll develop your technical skills and experience, learning from our high-performance teams who are experts in their field. You'll also receive an introduction to the insurance industry, develop your stakeholder management skills and be exposed to some of the latest and greatest tech. We pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive culture and you will get to experience a collaborative, agile and innovative environment first-hand.
You will never be bored, you will always be learning, and you will have fun doing it.
When does it start?
The 2025 program will run from July 2025 - July 2026.
Is it paid?
Yes! You will be paid an annual salary and get staff benefits.
Who should apply
Cyber security, computer science or data science students looking for an industrial placement in the penultimate year of their degree who meet the following criteria:

- Eligible to work in the UK
You must be in year two of an appropriate sandwich-year degree course.

Once the applications have closed and we have reviewed all the assessments you will be notified of next steps. Successful applicants from the first stage will then be asked to submit a brief video to introduce themselves and tell us why they have chosen to apply for this opportunity.

If successful with your initial application, we will also be running an in-person assessment day in our London HQ in March 2025.
